In the spring of 1966, Mexico's most well-known classic singer, Javier Solis died. The recording company CBS Mexico, which is presently known as Sony Discos, presented Fernandez with a record deal. He launched his first track in 1966 which was entitled "Perdóname"; Sony Discos still have Fernandez. Fernandez's career became popular and has become nonstop from then on. He also ventured into doing films with the movie Tacos al Carbón, launched in 1971. Vicente’s very first blockbuster film, La Ley del Monte, in which he also made the movie’s soundtrack, was launched in 1974. Fernandez has sung, acted and did magic behind the curtains on nearly 40 films within 20 long years. He decided to stop doing films in 1991, sensing he was quite old to preserve the right persona for his films. In 35 years, he has recorded nearly 50 albums and says he will have 300 additional tracks to be recorded, creating an additional 30 albums. He usually spends half of a day in his studio trying to record nearly 18 songs when he is making an album. He will then take a break for an entire day and then he will return for an additional marathon session in which he will record an additional fifteen (or more) tracks.
