Chicago Cubs Tickets
The Chicago Cubs are an American professional baseball team with their home based out of Chicago Illinois and are members of the Central Division of Major League Baseball's National League. In the city of Chicago there are two major league clubs calling the city home with other one being the Chicago White Sox. The Chicago Cubs are also known by The North Siders due to their home field being Wrigley Field since 1916 in northern Chicago in the Lakeview community. Along with this nickname, they are often referred to as The Boys in Blue, Cubbie Blue or the Cubbies.
The Chicago Cubs were not always known by this name, which was given to the team in 1902. Prior to this year, they were known as the Chicago Orphans from 1898 to 1901, the Chicago Colts from 1890 until 1897, and the Chicago White Stockings in 1870 to 1871, and then again from 1874 until 1889.
As mentioned above Wrigley Field has been their home since 1916, but prior to this time, fans purchased tickets to see the Chicago Cubs at different fields which included Weeghman Park, West Side Park, South Side Park, Lakefront Park, 23rd Street Grounds, and Union Base-Ball Grounds.
The Chicago cCubs have won major league titles including two world series titles in 1907 and 1908; NL Pennants in 1945, 1938, 1935, and 1932, to name a few. Central Division titles were won in 2003, 2007, and 2008, East Division titles in 1984 and 1989, and Wild Card Berths in 1998.
