This hit comedy of the horrors of a high school gang will land at Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre on March 12, 2018 with previews and the opening night scheduled for April 8, 2018. And it will be playing for a long time on their repertoire. The show is the adaptation of Tina Fey’s book and Mean Girls movie from 2004.

Tina’s husband, 30Rock composer, Jeff Richmond worked on the music and Lorne Michaels and Stuart Thompson produced it. The genius behind Legally Blonde, Nell Benjamin wrote the lyrics and Casey Nicholaw was in charge for direction and choreography. The main role of Cady Heron is played by Erica Henningsen and Taylor Louderman is starring as infamous Regina George. This musical adaptation has been in the works since 2013 so buy the tickets here and see if it was worth waiting for.

The plot revolves around Cady, a girl who grew up in African savanna with her zoologist parents, and now moves into suburban Illinois.

Although she knows the wild life, she is not prepared for the high school cliques and every day drama. In the first scene, Cady introduces her exciting life in Africa, dancing between predators and pray, and then quickly floes into another, more dangerous place, suburban high school. She was warned to avoid the most popular and charming but ruthless clique called “Plastics” led by Queen Bee Regina George.

Cady infiltrates into “Plastics” and plans to end Regina’s reign with her friends Janis and Damian. The show is full with rumors, gossip and secrets portrayed in a fun way. Mean Girls takes a look at friendship and human nature through a ferociously funny lens. Come and see the show and witness how a naïve girl rises to the top of the popularity pecking order. We’ll have to wait and see whether this new girl take the Queen Bee without getting stung.
