Lorde has recently announced that Run the Jewels, Mitski and Tove Styrke will join her separately on her North American leg of the tour from 1 March through 15 April. On the first seven dates, Run the Jewels and Tove Styrke will perform as support. The rest of the dates until 23 March, a still-unnamed act will take over for Run the Jewels. Final 15 dates will be played by Mitski and Run the Jewels again.

Melodrama World Tour is Lorde’s second tour in support of her latest album. With twenty dates in Europe, 13 in Oceania and 32 in North America, this extensive tour will have 65 shows in total. 2017 has been a great year for this young artist since she appeared at Coachella, Jazz Fest, Bonnaroo and Governor’s Ball and drawn massive attention.

This 20-year-old New Zealand artist released her sophomore album Melodrama in June. She worked on the album from 2013 when she stepped from the spotlight, taking a break after her breakup from a longtime boyfriend James Lowe. Melodrama was described by critics as single house party with the events and moods that entail it.

Exploring the theme of solitude and loneliness, the album received a widespread acclaim and according to many critics it is the best album of the year. At the 60th Annual Grammy Awards it received a Grammy nomination for the Album of the Year.

“Green Light” and “Perfect Places” are just some of the singles landing on charts. Lorde was recently featured alongside Khalid, Post Malone and SZA on a remix of her “Homemade Dynamite” which debuted on the Hot 100.
