Syracuse Orangeman Final Four Run Defies All Expectations

30th March 2016 | Category: Sports

There it was, finally, after everything was done, after the hugs had been hugged and the nets were all cut and all of the fans that were at the United Center were thanked.  After Malachi Richardson went off, and Tyler Lydon put a manhole cover on the rim, after a 25 – 4 run in six of the second half minutes.  Syracuse downed the number one seed in an awesome 68 – 62 blink and you would have missed it game upset.  After two weeks of pushing back against the odds that his team did not deserve to be there, or that they were just lucky, as they had assumed the role of the underdog.  After all of that steadfast refusal to even admit the smallest hint of surprise, even as the surprises kept piling on one by one.

Then and only then would Jim Boeheim the coach of the Syracuse Orangeman even hint that maybe that something strange was afoot.

Jim Boeheim the coach of the Syracuse Orangeman stated Sunday night as he stopped himself short – “I mean, I thought that we deserved to be here in the tournament, but certainly I Did not……,” “I was not planning on actually getting to play in the Final Four.”

The Alternative to this is that Jim Boeheim Knew all along that his team would do what they did in the United Center this past weekend, as it upended the super hot Gonzaga team the previous Friday and after doubled down on the crazy two days later as they went up against the top seeded Virginia team, was a prospect that was just to terrifying for him to have considered.  This prospect would have required him to answer the only question about his team as well as this game that reallt matters.  How did the Syracuse Orangeman erase a 35 – 21 halftime deficit?

Make sure to grab tickets to the next games that are coming up to find out if the Orange can make it all the way, right here from Ticket Center.
