Shakira North America Tour

Shakira will be on tour this year after a three-year break. At this time, only three venues have been announced for this fall.

Shakira the Colombian singer/songwriter/dancer will open her US tour on September 21 in New York, New York at Madison Square Garden, Other dates and venues include Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center on October 8 and Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on October 23.

Tickets will go on sale beginning May 7. Only a few tickets will be available for only $9.50 without including surcharges and applicable fees. There are only a few of these heavily discounted tickets available with regular tickets ranging from $44 to $154 in New York and around $150 in Los Angeles. More dates will be announced for both summer and fall for North America.

Shakira’s 2006 & 2007, Oral Fixation Tour had her performing in over twenty markets throughout Canada and the United Sates and even completed two legs in Mexico with more than twenty concerts. 

This is Shakira’s major performance since she signed a 360-degree deal with Live Nation in 2008. Not much was confirmed or explained about the deal at this time. The New York Post estimated that the contract was worth around $70 million.

Shakira is on the road supporting her third English language album, “Hips Don’t Lie” and her sixth studio album together. Her She Wolf album was released in November 2009. This album has not done as well on the charts as previous ones only peaking at #15 on the Billboard 200.

More dates will be announced once they have been added to Shakira’s itinerary. The only venues at this time to be placed on her itinerary include Madison Square Garden in New York, Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
