Paul McCartney To Appear On Glee

Sir Paul McCartney will be making an appearance on the popular, musically-inspired television show, Glee. The sitcom, both a favorite of viewers and fans alike, has been a hit and now, they’ll be able to add another “notch to their belt,” an appearance by Sir Paul McCartney, himself.

McCartney liked the television show, Glee, so much that he petitioned the creators to write him in for a guest appearance. They promptly obliged. Ryan Murphy, the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, reportedly received a mixtapes from the super star. Murphy said: ‘I received some fantastic mixtapes from Paul McCartney a couple of weeks ago. I thought I was being punked!’ He added: ‘It came out of the blue in a package, handwritten, and it had two CDs and it said: ‘Hi Ryan, I hope you will consider some of these songs for Glee.’

Murphy has agreed wholeheartedly to write McCartney into the show. The episode that he will appear in, has not yet been filmed or scheduled but it will likely be this season. What is without question is the fact that Murphy was absolutely thrilled to be approached by Paul McCartney to be a part of the show. He was also incredibly excited that the former-Beatle is a fan of Glee.
