Maroon 5 announces summer tour
Maroon 5 will be on tour again this summer with around 30 dates announced for a North American. A few names offering support include Kris Allen, Guster, and Owl City. The tour starts off on July 30 in Saratoga Springs, New York at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and ends in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on August 29 at the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre.
At this time, only sixteen gigs have been announced but new dates are promised. The supporting artists are divided in this manner; Guster will be present from July 30 to August 1, Owl City from August 4 through August 15, and Kris Allen from August 19 through August 29. Other acts include Ry Cuming on July 30 through August 4 and VV Brown from August 5 through the remainder of the summer tour.
Tickets went on sale on May 14 for dates scheduled with more dates to be announced at the end of May and during June. Ticket prices range from gigs but range in most cases $25 to $65. Maroon 5 has his third studio album in production and is awaiting its release, “Hands All Over,” which is scheduled for release on September 21. The album in 2007 was “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” and in 2002 Songs About Jane.
Highlights of the tour include on July 31 in Gilford, NH at the Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion, on August 1 in Uncasville, CT at the Mohegan Sun Arena, August 4 in Toronto, ON at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, August 5 in Clarkston, MI on the DTE Energy Music Theatre, August 6 in Noblesville, IN at the Verizon Wireless Music Center, August 7 in Canandaigua, NY at the CMAC, and August 21 in Alpharetta, GA at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.
