Walt Disney’s Timeless Peter Pan

Peter Pan is loved by men and women, and boys and girls. It is timeless, and a true masterpiece. This amazing show for all ages will be in theaters starting today, December 26, 2011 and will run July 29, 2012.

Walt Disney’s Peter Pan tells the story of a boy who refuses to grow up and is living in Neverland where he can enjoy his childhood to the fullest. He loves to have fun without meant for harm. But even so, he always battles with his foe for life, Captain Hook. He gets bored with his everyday life and decides to take the Darling children with him back to Neverland. The excitement doubles and he manages to defeat his foe and befriend the Indian Chief.

There are sequels and prequels made for this animated film and it was based on the play, ‘Peter Pan’ or ‘The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up’ by J.M. Barrie. The films and the plays have been a great success, that even after fifty years, it is still shown in broadways. And now the popular children bedtime tale is back with more flair after thousands of successful performances worldwide.  This musical has received several awards and nominations, including the Tony Award for Best Musical in different years and the Drama Desk Award.

Children will enjoy the fun and the drama of this musical and even grownups would love to see this show and appreciate it as they relive memories of their childhood. This musical is perfect for the whole family and will surely amuse everyone.  Peter Pan is a feel good show that will bring laughter and added memories to reminisce. Rigby loves to be hailed as the boy who refuses to grow up during the nights of her performances with other talented actors and actresses. The timeless Broadway musical begun in 1954 with music by Mark “Moose” Charlap with some additional music coming from Jule Styne and most of the lyrics written by Carolyn Leigh with additions by Betty Comden and Adolph Green.
