Beyoncé Kicks Off North American Leg of Renaissance World Tour

18th July 2023 | Category: Concerts

The 29-time Grammy winner Beyoncé has finally wrapped up the European part of her Renaissance World Tour. The much-acclaimed tour has been garnering a lot of buzz online, with numerous recordings and clips showing Bey’s dedication to the promotion of her latest album Renaissance.

As Taylor Swift moves her show outside the USA and starts touring across Europe, South America and Asia, Beyoncé gets ready to conquer the US audience. The first show was in Toronto, on July 9.

About the Tour

Renaissance World Tour is the first world tour for the songstress since 2016. The last tour was called The Formation Tour and was the seventh concert tour done to promote Beyonce’s sixth studio album Lemonade.

Renaissance World Tour officially began on May 1, 2023, in Stockholm, Sweden. The singer opened the tour in Europe, and with the second half of the tour taking place in North America.

Overall, the concert consists of six stages, or six acts, each representing a part of the Renaissance album. However, in-between the acts, Bey also performs her previous hits and legendary jams from across her discography. This tour is considered one of the best tours she has ever done, garnering a lot of praise both for the visual aspects, the concept, and production.

An interesting thing about the tour is that it is also the first tour that the audience got to see Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy, who has made her guest appearance on a number of shows by participating as a backup dancer. The 11-year-old is not a regular dancer, though – she hasn’t appeared in every show so far. Nevertheless, she has become a firm fan-favourite, with thousands of fans bringing various gifts and signs in support of Blue Ivy (such as blue balloons, etc.). Blue Ivy has also become a star on TikTok where videos of her dancing on the tour went viral.

First Stop: Toronto

The first show in North America was a two-day celebration of Beyoncé and her genius in Toronto. The crowds were amazed, and even the singer herself was amazed by the audience and the love that she got from them.

After two days there, she quickly rested and got ready for the next shows: this time, it was Philadelphia time, taking place on July 12.

Again, a festival of splendour, upbeat, sexy vibes, and most importantly, a celebration of what it means to be a woman – and what it means to be a Beyoncé.

The next stop on the tour was Nashville, taking place on July 15.

These are just the beginning of the amazing world tour that is set to last well into October 2023. Here is the full list of all concerts that Beyoncé announced as part of her Renaissance World Tour promoting the Renaissance album.

Although the festival is mainly focusing on jazz music, the organization behind the event expanded the offer to include a little something for fans of other genres. Hence, besides jazz, you can also enjoy sets of rock and alternative music, as well as other forms of jazz – such as blues, swing, and similar formats. Another jazz festival in another Italian city. Bari in Jazz is a famous Bari music festival revolving around jazz, blues, and similar genres. An interesting thing about this event is that it transcends music. It’s a cultural event celebrating improvisation, mixing, and interlocking of cultures through musical expressions. It’s an art festival more than anything, and it always attracts a large crowd.

Bari in Jazz is also one of the longest events on our agenda today. The start of Bari in Jazz programme in 2023 starts officially on July 14. The final act will take place on Monday, August 7, with Trans-Global Jazz Trio closing the festival with their concert. This year, the dates for Oslo Jazz festival are August 13 – August 19, and we are hoping for the best weather possible. Additionally, Oslo Jazz is not restricted to one location only; there are over 60 concerts and shows scheduled across the capital. The road from Oslo to Amersfoort is long, but it can be done – if you want to hear the latest and best Dutch jazz artists, that is. The Amersfoort World Jazz Festival is an homage to jazz in the Netherlands, and each represents a joyful occasion to meet up and enjoy world-class music. Dutch artists creating music both at home and abroad schedule concerts and shows that span across five whole days. That’s five whole days filled with music and cultural events, where you are guaranteed to find at least something to your liking.

Dubbed the ‘musician’s paradise’ festival, Amersfoort World Jazz 2023 starts on August 15 and will last for five days. The versatile and dynamic lineup for 2023 includes Dutch jazz legends and some lesser-known artists who are busily making a name for themselves on the European jazz scene. About the Tour and Fear Inoculum

Among the many great hits from their previous album, the band is touring in support of their first full-fledged release in 13 – Fear Inoculum. As for Fear Inoculum, it is their fifth studio album that, through extensive effort, refined their already established sound. The album achieved the number one position on the US Billboard 200 chart, marking their third album to reach this milestone. It sold more than 270,000 units.

There are seven tracks in total and Maynard explained that the album is about “embracing where we are right now, acknowledging where we’ve come from and some of the things we’ve gone through.”

The tour will showcase songs from Fear Inoculum as well as a compilation of their previous hits. Each concert is meant to represent the journey of Tool as well as an audio-visual experience for the audience.

New Dates for Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’: Mexico & South America

7th June 2023 | Category: Concerts

Taylor Swift is taking her The Eras Tour outside of the USA, much to the delight of non-US Swifties. Just recently, the “All Too Well” songstress announced 9 more international shows that would complement her viral The Eras Tour.

The international dates include three shows in Mexico, three in Brazil, and three in Argentina. If you want to learn more about the tour, as well as get information as to where to purchase the tickets, just keep reading!

The Eras Tour Context

The Eras Tour is the sixth international tour for Taylor Swift, and the first one since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018. The COVID-19 outbreak clearly put a damper on concerts and tours, but Swift was far from being lazy.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter released two surprise albums, Folklore and Evermore, within the span of a year, and delighted her fandom with another album called Midnights last year. And if three brand-new albums were not enough, she also re-recorded her two older albums Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version).  Therefore, there is more than enough to celebrate and promote.

A year before the pandemic was also the year she released Lover, another album that did not get its much-deserved time under the spotlight via headliner tours. The Lover Fest tour had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, so Swifties have been waiting for a spectacle for quite some time.

As she was unable to go on tour and properly promote her new (and old-new) albums in the past few years, she has opted to make an amalgamation of her greatest hits from all her eras – which is how we’ve gotten the very title The Eras Tour.

Another quite interesting fact about this tour is that it garnered so much attention that it crashed the Ticketmaster on the very first day.

That’s right, folks – Ticketmaster crashed on the first official presale day when over 3.5 million visitors tried to access the website and obtain their tickets for the Taylor Swift 3-hour spectacle. And that was when only the dates for US shows were known!

About the Tour

Each concert show lasts for over three hours, with a set list of approximately 44 songs. However, the imaginative genius of Taylor Swift created a real show out of to highlight all of her albums. That is why the show is split into 10 sections, each representing an era of Swift’s music career (or album). All acts conceptually represent albums, with unique choreographies, costumes, and visual imagery.

The tour officially began in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17th, 2023.At first, Swift announced 46 concerts in the USA, set to happen between March 17th and August 9th. Her guests and opening acts on tour include a variety of performers, including HAIM, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, OWENN, MUNA, and girl in red. Sabrina Carpenter is set to be her opening act in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.

At the moment, the plan is to close the US leg of the tour in Los Angeles in the SOFI Stadium on August 9th.

International Dates So Far

In early June, it was officially announced that Taylor Swift plans to extend her Eras Tour outside the USA via international set dates for Mexico and South America.

Here are the new dates and locations for the new international shows:

  • AUG 24 Mexico City, Mexico (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • AUG 25Mexico City, Mexico (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • AUG 26Mexico City, Mexico (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • NOV 9Buenos Aires, Argentina (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • NOV 10Buenos Aires, Argentina (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • NOV 11Buenos Aires, Argentina (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • NOV 18Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • NOV 25São Paulo, Brazil (guest Sabrina Carpenter)
  • NOV 26São Paulo, Brazil (guest Sabrina Carpenter)

You can see the details for every show and purchase all tickets for The Eras Tour right HERE.

It is not yet known whether she would add new shows between August and November. However, the official website states that additional international dates for upcoming Eras concerts are yet to be announced, which means Swift is not done touring in celebration of her previous albums.

But stay tuned! We will keep you posted and update our information as soon as more international concert shows are announced. For more interesting concerts and shows that you can enjoy this summer in your country, please check out our full event list.
