R. Kelly Releases 2012 US Tour

The Grammy Award-winning singer is ready to put the vocal issues that have delayed his performance schedule behind him: R. Kelly has announced that this fall, he will be on the road for his 2012 US tour. The tickets for his US tour are now available.

Famous R&B superstar R. Kelly, still fresh off the launch of his newest album, Write Me Back, has just released that he is having a North American tour this fall. The “Single Ladies Tour” begins Oct. 13 in Columbia, South Carolina and carries on through early December. Write Me Back, that has been launched in late June, was the follow up to his December 2010 release, Love Letter. The two albums were a huge departure for the singer in that they were retro-R&B/Soul ventures and gave stylistic homage to Sam Cooke, Ray Charles along with other world famous artists. However together with the tour announcement, R. Kelly stated that his following album will be similar to what fans normally anticipate to hear from him.

“The name of my next album is Black Panties — that’s my next 12 Play,” he told the Associated Press, referencing his classic 1993 album, which contained the hits “Bump N Grind” and “Your Body’s Callin’,” among others. With regards to the approaching US tour, the singer informed the AP that he would like it to be “one big, giant ‘Dating Game.” Sounds fun to me.
