The album was a huge success and remains to be one of the best selling albums in music history. Its carrier single “Go Your Own Way” went up to the Top Ten in the US music charts. Buckingham directed their third album and found great success again. Around that time, he had already started working with other albums and eventually came out with his own debut solo album, “Law and Order”. His first single “Trouble” immediately rose to the Top Ten chart.

From then on, Lindsey Buckingham became a household name, especially with aspiring musicians and fans. He came out with more albums and at the same time, went on tour with Fleetwood Mac.
