Creed on Tour Again This Summer

News In Concerts

The group, Creed, reunited in 2009 and are revving up for a national tour with 26 dates and a unique “20-10 Tour” promotion for tickets. When you search for tickets, you will find that most markets will offer an all in ticket price for the first 2,010 reserved seats. The all in pricing includes fees and service charges for one flat price. Once all the 2,010 reserved seats are sold the rest of the tickets, will sale for safe value, which is between $10 to $20 plus all fees. The first group of tickets went on sale on April 23 & 24 with a few more tickets scheduled for sale throughout May.

The first stop will be at the Jiffy Lube Live on July 28 in Bristow, Virginia with the last concert scheduled for The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on September 4 in Woodlands, Texas. A few other concerts will include Comcast Center on August 4 in Mansfield, Massachusetts; First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on August 15 in Tinley Park, Illinois; and Cruzan Amphitheatre on August 31 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

There are five markets on the Creed tour that are NOT participating in the promotion mentioned above including Sparta, Wisconsin; Gilford, New Hampshire; Mount Pleasant, Michigan;  Sturgis, South Dakota; and August Rama Ontario.

The statement by the band explaining the new promotion lowering costs stated, “stand up against rising concert costs,” however, many believe it may be due to the slow sales for their Creed 2009 reunion tour. Quite a few of the markets reported attendance levels below capacity. On of the reports stated that at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York with a capacity of 25,000 only 7,000 seats were filled.

Promotions to get the seats filled were unique to say the least with tickets in 2009 for the BJCC arena in Birmingham, Alabama were sold online for $0 along with a $4.50 order-processing fee and a .75-cent convenience charge.
