Aerosmith Global Warming Tour With Cheap Trick

News In Concerts

In all of music’s history, there are only a few rock bands that remain intact. Most of them have members who decide to quit so they can pursue their own careers. Aerosmith, however, has managed to remain intact even after some of their band members have had their own share of the limelight as solo artists. For five decades now, the band has managed to become of one the greatest and strongest bands in music history.

Starting out in the 70s, the band has already made great hits of their own. But it wasn’t until the 80s and 90s that they started to really hit it big especially in music charts. They have scored a No.1 worldwide hit “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”, which was also used in the movie “Armageddon” and starred Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler’s daughter.

Other songs on their discography were also certified hits and have been favorites during the head-banging era. Their music videos were one of the music unique videos ever produced. They also made stars out of actors who graced their videos like Liv Tyler and Alicia Silverstone. Alicia Silverstone in particular starred in “Cryin’”, “Amazing” and “Crazy”.

The band hasn’t come up with new material for the past decade or so, but they’re said to be coming up with a new album. Most of their tours had lineups consisting of the songs that had already produced. But that still did not stop their fans from flocking to their concerts and supporting the band all the way. This even intensified when Steven Tyler landed himself a spot on the judges’ table of the hit TV show “American Idol”.

With “Idol”, Steven Tyler and the rest of the band had the chance to renew their fame with an even younger crowd, which most bands from the 80s or 90s do not often get. This newfound attention was a great advantage for them to come up with the Aerosmith Global Warming Tour 2012. They kicked it off at Minneapolis on a sold-out concert with 14,000 people head-banging and singing along to their songs.

They are currently touring with equally successful band that also started out in the 70s, Cheap Trick. The tour will go on for months in different parts of the U.S. and will end August 12th in Bristow, Virginia.
