Aerosmith’s The Cocked, Locked, and Ready to Rock Tour
Aerosmith’s future has been in the news along with all kinds of rumors; well the rumors can be put away now as the rock and roll legends announced plans to tour with frontman Steven Tyler at the mic.
The tour is limited to the United Kingdom and Europe with concerts scheduled for some of the largest music festivals in the country. The first festival to see Aerosmith will be the Sweden Rock Festival in Solvesborg, Sweden on June 10 with the last performance slated for July 3 in Venice, Italy at the Jammin’ Festival.
Tyler stated on their official website, “Back by popular demand with more spit and fire than ever before, we’re coming across the pond and parting the waters as we go.”
Rumors of the end of Aerosmith began during the summer tour in 2009 when Tyler fell from the stage forcing the band to cancel the remainder of the tour. The special guest during the 2009 tour was ZZ Top. After Tyler’s recovery, rumors were still flying. Some believed Tyler was headed off on his own as a solo artist. Band members were more than just a bit concerned about Tyler’s sobriety as well and contemplated auditions for a new lead singer.
For all Aerosmith fans, the band seems to have patched up their differences with the announcement of the tour even with Tyler jokingly saying, “I just auditioned and I got the gig.”
