Figure skaters dressed up as Disney characters is loved and chased by children of all ages; not only that, older people get hooked to watching Disney On Ice, a fun filled show with dancing, singing and skilled skating. The stars of the touring ice show are the Disney characters themselves and the dancers don’t take the credit to them because they remain anonymous. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it would be easier and catchy for children if they could point out Cinderella on stage and not some random name they couldn’t even pronounce yet. Some stories from Disney are shown in the show such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and many more. The production began in 1981 and they have been touring the world ever since. Yearly, they have so called themes or titles to present and last year was “Dare to Dream” and “Treasure Trove”. The longest running show is “Mickey and Minnie’s Amazing Journey” that started in 1995 and still running up to now.

The themes or shows are introduced yearly and they add up to upcoming tours in the future. Such as the Disney on Ice tour in the United States where Toy Story 3, Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Journey, 100 Year of Magic, Dare to Dream and Treasure Trove will be shown in different states. Fans of these shows must checkout dates and venues for the ones they want to see specifically. Disney on Ice runs eight productions and they tour regions in the United States, Middle East, Europe, Australia and Asia. The show is a big hit, making it very popular all over the world.

New shows are introduced to the existing Disney Princesses and Mickey and Friends whenever Disney would release new movies. New shows that people go crazy over are Tangled (Disney’s version of Rapunzel), Enchanted, Cars, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Lilo and Stitch and many more. People who expect to see the usual cast of Disney shows would be surprised with the huge variety Disney gives in their shows. They incorporate many characters and shows in one so the viewers are kept entertained. Shows are kept “overhauled” which means that they try not to play the same thing over and over. But of course, classics like The Lion King, Pocahontas, Pinocchio, 101 Dalmatians, Alice in Wonderland and many more are not left behind.
