Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Cancels Tour Dates

The official notice concerning Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Tour stated that the May 12th, Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky was cancelled without any information on rescheduling. All ticket holders can receive a refund via the purchase venue. Those with tickets can opt for the July 15th performance at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio without playing any convenience or service charges.

The 2010 summer tour will be postponed for one month with the first ten performances being rescheduled for four months past their scheduled dates. The reason being the new album, Mojo, is not ready for release. The tour was scheduled to launch on May 6 in Raleigh, North Carolina at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion. The first date of the tour is now June 5th in Oakland, California at the Oracle Arena.

Plans in the beginning was to end the tour on August 27 in Saratoga Springs, New York at the Performing Arts Center, Now the last gig will be on October 2 in Irvine, California at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.

Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion on September 18 in Raleigh, NC 
Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on September 19 in Charlotte, NC

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on September 24 in Woodlands, TX 
US Airways Center on September 26 in Phoenix, AZ 
Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre on September 28 in Chula Vista, CA 
Hollywood Bowl on October 1 in Los Angeles, CA 
Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on October 2 in Irvine, CA 

A few more gig venues include Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on June 5th, General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC on June 8th, Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB on June 16th, Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, IN on July 10, and Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA on August 11.
