Simon & Garfunkel Announces More Concert Dates

Simon & Garfunkel announced more dates to the North America spring tour. The new dates include venues in Halifax, NS at the Metro Centre for May 17 & 18, Uncasville, CT at the Mohegan Sun Arena for May 20, and in Atlantic City, NJ at the Etess Arena for May 21.

Ticket sales for May 17 & 18 went on sale in early April with the prices ranging in price from $130 to $180. Tickets were on sale by April 8 with prices ranging from $99 to $150 for Halifax whereas tickets for Atlantic City ranges in price from $175 to $325.

The 2010 Spring tour will open as scheduled at the Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 24^th in New Orleans, Louisiana. This will be their first appearance at the Jazz and Heritage Festival.

At first, the tour for Simon & Garfunkel was centered on Canadian provinces with only a few venues in the United States. Now, with all the dates on the docket they will be performing ten gigs in Canada and seven gigs in the United States.

This tour will be the first time since their Old Friends Tour in 2003 and 2004 that they have joined forces and went on tour. The Old Friends tour was sold out at every venue. Simon & Garfunkel reunited at the beginning of 2009 and partnered to open the renovated Beacon Theatre in New York, New York.

Canadian gigs include on April 29 in Vancouver, BC at General Motors Place; on May 1 in Edmonton, AB at Rexall Place; on May 2 in Calgary, AB at Pengrowth Saddledome; on May 4 in Saskatoon, SK at the Credit Union Center, on May 5  in Winnipeg, MB at MTS Centre; on May 12 in Toronto, ON at the Air Canada Centre, on May 14 in Ottawa, ON at Scotiabank Place; on May 15 in Montreal, QC at the Bell Centre, on May 17 & 18 in Halifax, NS at Halifax Metro Centre.

United States gigs include April 24 in New Orleans, LA at the Jazz & Heritage Festival; May 7 in Fargo, ND at the Fargodome, May 8 in St. Paul, MN at the Xcel Energy Center; May 9 in Madison, WI at the Kohl Center Arena, May 11 in Auburn Hills, MI at The Palace of Auburn Hills; May 20 in Uncasville, CT at the Mohegan Sun Arena; and May 21 in Atlantic City, NJ at the Trump Taj Mahal Etess Arena.
