Stone, 25, released her first album in 2003 entitled The Soul Sessions. The new album with be the counterpart of the first one released around nine years before Volume Two. Like the first album, she has recorded covers on this new album. This time she has picked songs that were lesser known and performed by soul music legends from the Seventies and Eightees. Her new album contains songs from acts like The Chi-Lites, The Honey Cone, Sylvia. Linda Lewis, and The Dells.

The first album gave Stone the opportunity to break into the music industry and become mainstream. This also made her one of the best selling and one of the richest musicians from the UK. Prior to her new album and tour, there have been rumors that the singer was flat broke when she bought out her contract from her former record company, EMI Music. But rumors were quickly shot down by the singer and now she said that she’s happy she can have the artistic freedom, which made the battle totally worth it.

She is pleased that the new album was a good decision and that it felt good to come up with something that pleased and her and would please the fans as well. Although the singer has to start again, she is back in circulation with a new album to boot. This will definitely please her fans all over the world since she has not come up with new music following her LP in 2011.
