MGMT Tour Dates and New Album release

MGMT Indie electro rock band is close to releasing their next album and are already on their Spring to Summer tour. The Oracular Spectacular in 2007 was a huge success and this tour and album will certainly be no different.

The April 12^th and 13^th concert in San Francisco at the Fillmore were sold out staring their tour with the next concert held on April 17 at the Coachella. The two-month tour will take MGMT across the United States and Canada. The new album release was April 13^th, which is their third studio album, Congratulations.

The concert dates offer a few in April and May but the majority are booked between May 28 in Avila Beach, California at the Avila Beach Resort all the way through June 20^th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Riverside Theatre. Along with this, MGMT will appear in Portland, Oregon at the Crystal Ballroom on June 1^st and 2^nd; Morrison, Colorado at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 11; and Chicago, Illinois at the Riviera Theatre on June 18^th.A few tickets are on sale now for most concert dates.

The album, Oracular Spectacular had some people criticizing the songs while others of course became loyal fans. The top singles that put MGMT on the most popular list included Kids, Electric Feel, and Time to Pretend.

The success of the album put MGMT on the festival circuit and they gained quite a few fans including Paul McCartney who let MGMT open a couple of summer 2009 concerts at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

A few of the venues that will see MGMT perform include The Mod Club Theatre in Toronto Ontario, University of New Hampshire in Durham New Hampshire, Bamboozle New Jersey in East Rutherford New Jersey, and Sasquatch! Music Festival in Quincy Washington.
