The Addams Family Musical – 2012 Tickets

12th January 2012 | Category: Theater

The Addams Family used to fill up my kiddie mornings watching cartoons while eating my daily breakfast cereal fix. It wasn’t really the best show during the mornings and my mother would get annoyed because she would rather watch the morning news. But the show was really amusing with a bit of a scary twist which made it more unique. Imagine turning that show into a musical, orchestra playing, and loud organ tunes bouncing on the walls making the hair on the back of your neck stand. It’s true that they every member of the family is weird, but they make up a wonderful and loving family. With all the grime and dismembered parts of the body found in their house, they live as normal as they normal for them could be, for that, to each his own.

The Addams Family characters are created by Charles Addams, a gag cartoons featuring an American ghoulish family with fascination for all things macabre. There are many other adaptations of the show including movies and television shows. However, the musical is made to be heavily inspired by the cartoon series among the other adaptations.

The Addams Family Musical is touring around North America, singing about their devilishly delightful life. This macabre musical comedy is created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, Drama Desk Award winner Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), choreographer Sergio Trujillo, and Olivier Award-winning director/designers Phelim McDermott &Julian Crouch with production supervision by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks.

The plot surrounds around the princess of darkness, Wednesday Addams falling in love with sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. She tells her father, Gomez about it but begs him not to tell her mother, Morticia anything. All the things you won’t expect will happen on that fateful night when they host a dinner for Wednesday’s boyfriend and his parents.

Laugh a lot, be mortified and fall in love with this exciting new musical. The play is divided into two acts that surrounds around the family meet-up in the old scary mansion. The staging of the mansion is created so that it looks iconic as the family itself and they did not just create a clichéd Halloween house but instead they made “a truly living character as the house pieces itself together before our eyes. It is an unsettling place, where no room ever quite seems the same twice.”

The musical shows that it is worth every penny as the producers prepared all the best they could give, beginning from the stars to the mind blowing props. Immediately purchase your The Addams Family Musical tickets because they wouldn’t last long. Cheap musical tickets can be found online making it easier to get all your ticketing needs.

Don’t miss the Addams Family Musical because if they don’t see you there, they will be forced to visit you in the dead of the night.

Wicked the Musical – 2012 Tickets

6th January 2012 | Category: Theater

Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz sang about the lives of the people living in the magical city, including those that budded into “witches”. There are love, friendship, and battle for the truth as the characters tread their lives under the tyranny of the Wizard of Oz. Tickets are already available for this magnificent musical, so you better hurry and purchase your Wicked The Musical tickets now.

The musical is divided into two acts, the first act being the flashback of the life of Elphaba, the green skinned woman later branded as the Wicked Witch of the West. She, along with her ‘normal skinned’ sister went to Shiz University where her life gets tangled up with Glinda (aka Galinda), the beautiful and popular woman later branded as the Good Witch of the East. They loathed each other at first and fell in love with one man, but in the end they became the best of friends. Elphaba’s life is still proven as difficult as it has always been even after the successful friendship and her greatness at sorcery because of her retaliation to the Wizard’s corrupt government. In the end she becomes the bad person, misunderstood by all citizens of Oz. Elphaba fights for her rights and of the animals she desperately tries to save and in the process she is ostracized but is loved by the only man she and Glinda gave their hearts to despite her difference of both belief and appearance.

Wicked the Musical is very inspiring and the songs strong and heartfelt. The actors and actresses left their lives at home for every performance, to be totally in character which makes the acting pure and true. Stephen Schwartz composed the music and lyrics and is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire entitled Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West written on the year 1995. This novel is a parallel novel of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum in 1900.

The musical has been proven to be a great success. Since its debut in 2003, it has broken box office records around the world and even attained £100,000 in the first hour on sale. Jeff Dunham: Not Your Average Ventriloquist

25th January 2011 | Category: Theater

Do you happen to know Achmed, the Dead Terrorist? This puppet has been one of the popularized icons which are voiced over by ventriloquist Jeff Dunham in the year 2009. While this is probably the most hilarious of his puppets, this is not the only one that he has got. And this man is one who has an infinite number of antics and a talent that overflows in every single word that he says. If you do not believe this, better hit YouTube and see the different episodes of Achmed and see for yourself what everyone has been talking about.

It is not common for ventriloquists to go mainstream because mostly they are only heard of when they join contests on occasion and they put up some intriguing acts that everyone is bound to remember for a long time. Achmed is the non-living (pun intended) proof that Jeff has a talent that sprouts every hundred years. This dead terrorist has a lot to share to you. From Christmas to his conception of heaven (where a lot of virgins await him), you will definitely roll over with laughter. And if you witness their live performance, you may also have the chance to be the object of his “affection”.

Jeff is not afraid to use more than one talent at a time. In fact, in one of his more popular performances with Achmed, Achmed received a box containing Walter, Achmed’s adversary. The two banter endlessly using clever lines and fantastic wordplay with totally different voices, characters, personas and jokes. Jeff’s voice is also heard, and if you would close your eyes and listen to all the action, you will never guess that just one person is doing the talking.

Being a ventriloquist is not easy, but Jeff Dunham takes it to the next level. This is why Jeff Dunham tickets are worth every single penny.
