Peter Pan Theater 2012 Tours and Tickets
The marvel of staying young has been imagined and loved by children of all ages for as long as anyone can truly remember. Whilst it may seem like a bold statement, we were all once children and all had wild imaginations that would excite and fill us with contentment and adventure each and every day. It is safe to say that at one point or another each of us had wished to stay eternally youthful, as have some people who are much older wish as well. Youth is still considered very much a blessing, but it is only once we have passed it and acquired knowledge and understanding do we truly appreciate the time we have left on this earth. One such person who has become synonymous with youthful adventure is the lovable mischievous character, Peter Pan.
The Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up or Peter and Wendy was a play created by J. M Barrie in 1904, which was later adapted as a novel in 1911 as. The story details a character named Peter Pan, a mischievous child who has the gift of eternal youth and flight. He adventures on the island of Neverland with his gang the Lost Boys. Throughout the island, Peter and his gang constantly cause trouble and adventure around the island, inciting fun tales involving Mermaids, Native Americans, Fairies, Pirates as well as ordinary children from the world outside of Neverland. The story shows the introduction of Peter Pan and Neverland as he shows an ordinary girl, Wendy Darling the delights of Neverland and the mysteries and fun that it holds.
The story itself became largely popular, and one that is known not just in its country of residence, Scotland, but all over the world. The adventures of Peter Pan have superseded the original by becoming more than just a play. The story has been intertwined with modern day adaptations and references, appearing in games, modern day movies, television series, and animated adventures and also producing spin-offs from the original whilst still pertaining to the original’s themes. As with all modern day adaptations, there are also Musicals, which fittingly bring the story of Peter Pan back to its routes.
From whence it came, the story of Peter Pan began as a play and has managed to keep that aspect of it alive. Even today, the Peter Pan adventure is broadcast as a stage performance once again and also as a musically to add depth and exuberance to a time honoured classic. The Peter Pan theatre production has charm, excitement and adventure all the same as the original but with the added joy of music to accommodate the story and ring in a very successful and beloved performance.
