Sing With Ed Sheeran On Tour

While Ed Sheeran became popular in 2012 in the United States, his debut album went six times platinum in the United Kingdom after it’s release in 2011. Overseas Ed Sheeran won two Brit awards for best male solo artist and British break through artist in 2012. Later on in 2012 himself and his music began to gain popularity among the United States. His popular song “The A-Team” went on to be nominated for song of the year at the 2013 Grammy Award ceremony where he performed his song with music legend Elton John. In 2014, he was also nominated for best new artist at the 56th annual Grammy Awards.

Ed Sheeran helped write songs with One Direction in his early years. Moments on their debut album, which was released in 2011 as well, was co-written by him. Taylor Swift even sought out Ed Sheeran after hearing his music while on tour in Australia. Later on he wrote a song with Taylor Swift that appears in her album Red that was released in 2012. Most of his 2013 year was spent along side Taylor Swift, touring North America during her Red tour where he was the opening act.

Ed Sheeran’s second album x (multiply) was released on June 23rd, 2014. After it’s release, it quickly stole the number one spot on the US Billboard 200. He announced in April 2014 that he would be going on tour, visiting fifteen different venues through out the United States. Three venues were added to the tour later on and all eighteen events ended up selling out.

Ed Sheeran returns to North America on May 2nd, performing at the Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans, Louisiana and visiting 25 other venues all around the United States and performing at ten shows in Canada in between. He will be ending his North American x Tour segment on July 3rd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Marcus Ampitheater.
