Kendrick Lamar has announced a massive 2022 world tour, which will include several stops in the United Kingdom.

The rapper, who released his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers today last week, is set to hit the road with Baby Keem and Tanna Leone in support of the record.

The jaunt will kick off with a raft of dates in the US on July 19 before reaching European and UK shores in October and November, which include two shows at The O2 in London on November 7-8.

In December, the tour will come to a close with a series of shows in Australia and New Zealand.

Lamar’s fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, which is one of the most eagerly awaited new albums in years, was released on digital services overnight, eliciting high expectations from fans and prompting questions about his next career steps.

The album contains 18 songs and it’s split into two nine-track sides featuring production from a diverse range of musicians across sounds and genres, including Sounwave and Dahi and the songwriting group Beach Noise, the veteran hip-hop beatmaker the Alchemist, Pharrell Williams, and others. Beth Gibbons of Portishead, Sampha, Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Summer Walker, and the controversial rapper Kodak Black.

The new album is the follow-up to the Compton rapper’s 2017 album DAMN, which was the first non-jazz or classical work to earn a Pulitzer Prize for Music. It also won Best Rap Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards, as well as receiving a nomination for Album of the Year at the ceremony. In 2020, the album was ranked 175th on Rolling Stone’s updated list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
