BTS Reveal They Are Going on a New World Tour

24th January 2020 | Category: Concerts

K-pop superstar group Bangtan Boys (BTS) have announced they will be embarking on a world tour in spring this year. The tour will be in support of their next album Map of the Soul: 7.

It will include a total of 37 shows in 17 cities around the world. The tour kicks off at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul on April 11th and after that the group will head over to North America, making stops in Santa Clara, Pasadena, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, East Rutherford, Landover, Toronto and Chicago. After the North American run, BTS will head to Europe and Japan for additional performances.

BTS will be releasing their highly anticipated studio album Map of the Soul: 7 on February 21st, 2020 via Big Hit Entertainment.

Their previous 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear reached a No.1 on the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package. Last year the seven-member band became the only group in 50 years, after The Beatles and The Monkees, to have three number-one albums on the Billboard 200 chart in less than 12 months.

Earlier this month the band returned after a short break in 2019 with the release of “Black Swan,” a track that will be featured on the upcoming album. More recently, they ventured into the art world, launching a global public art project called “Connect, BTS.” The project reflects the band’s philosophy which is along the lines of connecting through art, music and people and changing the world for the better.

The tickets for the upcoming BTS shows in the US will go on sale on February 7th, while ticket details for some of the other shows, including the two in London, are yet to be announced.
