Police say they pulled him over for driving a car without license plates.<\/p>\n<p>The 35-year-old performer was released on bail Thursday just in time to make it for his show at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/venue\/carnegie_hall_tickets.html\" target=\"_self\">Carnegie Hall<\/a>. He told the audience that he &#8220;just got out of jail.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Police say a handgun (or two or three according to police) was found in Williams&#8217; car after he was stopped for the alleged traffic violation. Illegal handgun and no license for the car. It remains to be seen whether that merits a slap on the wrist \u2013 or a stern look \u2013 from the judge?<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Williams did not show up for his gig as host of the BET awards, and the comic also didn&#8217;t make it to appear on &#8220;Late Night With Conan O&#8217;Brien&#8221;..
