{"id":32142,"date":"2022-03-15T03:14:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-15T10:14:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/?p=32142"},"modified":"2022-03-16T05:16:52","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T12:16:52","slug":"the-rolling-stones-announce-60th-anniversary-uk-and-european-tour-for-summer-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/concerts\/the-rolling-stones-announce-60th-anniversary-uk-and-european-tour-for-summer-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"The Rolling Stones Announce 60th Anniversary UK and European Tour for Summer 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Rolling Stones - Living In The Heart Of Love (Official Video)\" width=\"860\" height=\"484\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zrTOvWHD79g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/the-rolling-stones-tickets\">The Rolling Stones<\/a> have announced details of a 60th-anniversary tour hitting the UK and Europe this summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having been teasing fans for the past week, the rock legends will be heading out on the road to mark six decades as a band for the \u2018SIXTY\u2019 tour \u2013 with a new show and live production starting in Madrid on June 1 before heading to Munich, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Bern, Milan, London, Brussels, Vienna, Lyon, Paris, Gelsenkirchen and Stockholm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following on from their acclaimed USA \u2018No Filter\u2019 tour, \u2018SIXTY\u2019 will see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood make their long-awaited return to the UK, performing at the home of Liverpool FC \u2013 Anfield, for the Stones\u2019 first in Liverpool show for over 50 years, followed by two shows in London\u2019s Hyde Park for British Summer Time Festival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSorry to keep you all hanging around, but the waiting is over,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> said Keith Richards of the news. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI\u2019ve always said the best place for rock and roll is on being on stage with the Stones and this year is very special. Looking forward to rehearsing with Mick and Ronnie and some friends, the wheels are in motion. See you all very soon.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ronnie Wood meanwhile, added: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhen I look out at the sea of people when we play in Europe all I can see is smiles. It\u2019s heart-warming and I\u2019m glad we make people happy every time we play live. Can\u2019t wait to get on this brand-new stage with the boys and have some fun.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The band will be joined by drummer Steve Jordan at all shows, following\u00a0the sad death of Charlie Watts last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Stones have a colorful history of performing at London\u2019s Hyde Park. Their 1969 show Stones In The Park is known one of the most famous concerts of all time \u2013 with between 250,000 and half a million in attendance.
