Performances will then follow at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester (April 4) and OVO Hydro in Glasgow (April 5).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Further European dates are scheduled for between April 7 and July 8, when Franz Ferdinand will play the Adrenaline Stadium in Moscow..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Franz Ferdinand announced their upcoming \u2018best of\u2019 collection by sharing a new single, \u2018Billy Goodbye\u2019, earlier this month. The album will also include another unheard track called \u2018Curious\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Speaking to NME in a recent interview, Alex Kapranos described the latter as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cquite a different-sounding song\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for the group<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSonically, it\u2019s more at the silky dance floor end of what the band is about,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kapranos also spoke about the process of deciding on a tracklist for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hits To The Head,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> explaining that it was \u201clike how you would choose the setlist at a festival\u201d, mixing \u201cbangers\u201d with more \u201cretrospective\u201d moments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">News of Franz Ferdinand\u2019s new compilation and the accompanying tour comes after the band parted ways with their original drummer, Paul Thomson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sharing a statement on social media the band wrote:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHello world. Paul is leaving the band. It was a bit of a shocker for us when we found out, so it probably will be for some of you too.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thomson joined Franz Ferdinand when they formed back in 2002, and has been friends with his former bandmates for over 25 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe\u2019re glad we shared those adventures and experiences together and look forward to hearing what he gets up to next,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the group added.
