Now, a third set of dates have been announced due to continued COVID-19 restrictions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI was originally scheduled to bring my \u2018Hello\u2019 Tour to the UK and Europe in the summer of 2020, but for the health and safety of all, with the world in lockdown, the live music industry was forced to reschedule their 2020 tour dates,\u201d <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Richie wrote in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWith the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, keeping everyone\u2019s health and safety in mind, subsequent rulings and restrictions across the UK and Europe have meant the inevitable postponements of shows and the rescheduling of festivals at which I was scheduled to appear this summer.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These are Lionel Richie\u2019s rescheduled UK and Irish tour dates for 2022:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">June<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2nd \u2013 Cardiff, Castle<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4th \u2013 Dublin, St Anne\u2019s Park<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">5th \u2013 Belfast, Ormeau Park<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">12th \u2013 Nottingham, Victoria Embankment<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">14th \u2013 St Austell, Eden Project<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before the pandemic, there was a European tour planned to piggyback off the singer\u2019s successful Las Vegas residency. Currently, Richie is a judge on Season 4 of American Idol, alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/katy-perry-tickets\">Katy Perry<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/luke-bryan-tickets\">Luke Bryan<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The legendary singer doesn\u2019t plan on stopping any time soon. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone he shared his thoughts on retirement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThey\u2019re gonna have to carry me out, babe. Someone asked me years ago, \u201cWhen do you plan on retiring?\u201d And I said, \u201cFrom what?\u201d I\u2019ve never had a job. People who work want to retire. I\u2019m still the 19-year-old kid hanging out with the Commodores right down the road. I must admit the travel has gotten a lot better. But the fun and the adventure is still the same. People say, \u201cBut you play and sing the same thing.\u201d No, no, I never did 2020 before. I did 2019, but I\u2019ve never done 2020 and then I\u2019m looking forward to 2021 and 2022 and 2023.
