Scarborough 2019 was absolutely class so I can\u2019t wait to return next summer,&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> said Capaldi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;It\u2019s a great venue, the crowds there are always unreal and so here\u2019s to another unforgettable night.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meanwhile, Scarborough Open Air Theatre programmer Peter Taylor said:<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cLewis Capaldi is quite simply a music phenomenon \u2013 a brilliant live performer, a great guy and someone we are beyond delighted to see return.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Last two years have been quite busy for the award-winning artist, as he was topping the charts around the world and selling out massive arena tours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He was nominated for the Critics&#8217; Choice Award at the 2019 BRITS before his breakthrough single \u201cSomeone You Loved\u201d topped the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSomeone You Loved\u201d has become a global hit \u2013 landing at number one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was nominated for a Grammy Awards for \u2018Song of the Year\u2019 and is today the longest-running top 10 UK single of all time by a British artist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lewis&#8217; debut album, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 which includes the hits as Before You Go, Grace, Hollywood and Bruises &#8211; was not only the top-selling album of 2019, but is now on track to be the biggest album in the UK for a second year running.
