{"id":31619,"date":"2020-05-21T11:56:49","date_gmt":"2020-05-21T18:56:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/?p=31619"},"modified":"2020-05-21T12:00:47","modified_gmt":"2020-05-21T19:00:47","slug":"bullet-for-my-valentine-promise-a-brutal-heavy-and-technical-new-album","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/concerts\/bullet-for-my-valentine-promise-a-brutal-heavy-and-technical-new-album\/","title":{"rendered":"Bullet For My Valentine Promise a \u201cBrutal, Heavy, and Technical\u201d New Album"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bullet For My Valentine - Gravity (Audio)\" width=\"860\" height=\"484\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UUTXLdbmGEA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/bullet-for-my-valentine-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bullet For My Valentine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> frontman Matt Tuck has recently revealed how the process of the band\u2019s forthcoming album has been like so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In a recent interview with Rock Sound, he said tha<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">t Bullet For My Valentine were making good progress on their new studio album before the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe&#8217;ve never had this much at this stage pre-recording,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Tuck said.<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cThere are seven which are finished in my eyes: vocals and everything \u2013 demoed up and ready to go.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We&#8217;ve got a good head start and then this happened, and it&#8217;s stopped the train. It&#8217;s not ideal, and we did have a lot of plans for the rest of the year for writing and obviously making a record which are on the back-burner now until further notice.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The vocalist and guitarist also spoke about BFMV\u2019s good timing to take a break from touring in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c[It] was the best decision the band could have made. &#8216;Cause we don&#8217;t have any of the touring headaches that a lot of bands have that obviously had festivals booked this year and touring schedules, and it&#8217;s just stopped all of that. So we&#8217;re lucky in the sense that we don&#8217;t any of that going on, but it&#8217;s still kind of spoiling the flow factor that we had six weeks ago when things were on fire again and we kind of have to put the brakes on for a bit.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But it&#8217;s okay \u2014 we&#8217;ll be fine. We weren&#8217;t scheduled to start making the record till September at the earliest anyway. So we&#8217;ll just see this out and do some writing in the meantime.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bullet for My Valentine have released their most recent album, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gravity<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, in 2018. It features a significant change in sound compared to the band&#8217;s previous releases. However, Tuck said that the follow-up to 2018\u2019s Gravity, will be heavier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt&#8217;s pretty brutal. It couldn&#8217;t be more of a contrast with Gravity in a ferocious style. <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You&#8217;ve just got to go with what&#8217;s floating your boat, and this time around, the heavy stuff is just coming out in masses. The riffs are crushing. There&#8217;s probably 60% aggressive vocals and 40% clean, which is a ratio we&#8217;ve never really dabbled with before. It&#8217;s very heavy, it&#8217;s very gnarly, it\u2019s very technical.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Bullet For My Valentine fans that like that side of this band, they\u2019re going to lose their minds.
