One of them was the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/concerts\/glastonbury-music-festival-cancelled-due-to-coronavirus-pandemic\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Glastonbury Music Festival.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, another festival has been dropped and it\u2019s Isle of Wight Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The music event will not go ahead this year due to COVID-19. It was scheduled to take place between June 11-14th, 2020 at Seaclose Park in Newport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Among its headliners were with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/lionel-richie-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lionel Richie<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/duran-duran-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Duran Duran<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/snow-patrol-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Snow Patrol<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/lewis-capaldi-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lewis Capaldi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With Britain now in lockdown mode as coronavirus continues to spread the globe, this year\u2019s event will no longer take place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis decision hasn&#8217;t been taken lightly and we have tried our hardest to make it work, but it was unavoidable given the current status,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d reads a statement from organizers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe safety of our audience, artists, crew and the Isle of Wight community is paramount and we appreciate your patience whilst we\u2019ve been working through this unprecedented situation.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ticket holders don\u2019t need to worry, they are entitled to refunds or the opportunity to rollover their tickets to next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are working closely with our ticketing partners at the moment and they will be in touch very soon to process your refund, or, if you prefer, you can retain your ticket and carry it over to next year.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They will be contacted via email from them very soon and should only contact them if they have not been contacted after 5 days, as they are very busy at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">IOW promises it will be back stronger than ever next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe hope everyone stays safe and we\u2019ll see you in 2021.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Isle of Wight first hosted a major festival back in 1968.
