{"id":31559,"date":"2020-03-24T17:13:39","date_gmt":"2020-03-25T00:13:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/?p=31559"},"modified":"2020-03-24T17:13:39","modified_gmt":"2020-03-25T00:13:39","slug":"coronavirus-is-prompting-musicians-to-organize-virtual-concerts-and-live-streams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/news\/concerts\/coronavirus-is-prompting-musicians-to-organize-virtual-concerts-and-live-streams\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus is Prompting Musicians To Organize Virtual Concerts and Live Streams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Together At Home with Shawn Mendes &amp; Camila Cabello\" width=\"860\" height=\"645\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6d7k9M6bUqo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Coronavirus pandemic is continuing to unfold all around the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many people are in self-isolation, as it\u2019s important to stay home in order to prevent the further spread of the virus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Recently many concerts and festivals have been either canceled or postponed over the same reason.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That\u2019s why Global Citizen decided to organize Virtual concerts and raising money for the World Health Organization&#8217;s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The organizers said that their &#8216;Together At Home&#8217; series on Instagram Live aims <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cto ease people\u2019s minds, and bring them joy and a sense of shared humanity as public shutdowns and social distancing take effect globally\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since the last week when it was launched, the series has featured virtual concerts by Chris Martin, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/john-legend-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">John Legend<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Charlie Puth, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/niall-horan-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Niall Horan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Hozier, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/onerepublic-tickets\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">OneRepublic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During Friday&#8217;s live stream, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the lead vocalist of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One Republic, Ryan Tedder urged people to take meaningful action, practice social distancing and said;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe haven\u2019t seen anything like this in our lifetimes,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> he said. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s going to take all of us.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, there is hope that the online shows will provide some entertainment and joy during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Multiple other artists have joined the action.
