Miss Ross revealed on her social media that she is excited to be performing at this long-running festival. The 75-year-old singer said in her tweet:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is a dream come true. To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I&#8217;m coming to Glastonbury, with love.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Glastonbury\u2019s co-organizer Emily Eavis then went on to confirm the big news by tweeting: <em>\u201cI am delighted to say that one of the all-time greats, the wonderful Diana Ross, is coming to Glastonbury to play the Sunday legend slot on the Pyramid next year.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The upcoming Glastonbury concert marks the first time the Motown star will perform a show in the UK since 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Other big names that graced the Legend&#8217;s slot stage at Michael Eavis\u2019 Worthy Farm were Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and most recently Kylie Minogue, whose performance became the most-watched Glastonbury moment of all time.<\/p>\n<p>Next year will be the festival&#8217;s 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary, and according to a notice posted to the event&#8217;s website the tickets sold out in just 34 minutes. However, fans will have two more chances to buy them, in an ongoing ballot.<\/p>\n<p>Other headliners have not been announced yet, but according to some rumours, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcenter.com\/taylor-swift-tickets\">Taylor Swift<\/a>, Fleetwood Mac and Sir Paul McCartney might be part of the Glastonbury\u2019s lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Ross needs no introduction, though her half-century of hits might be unfamiliar with the typical Glastonbury crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Over her impressive career, Ross sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and enjoyed 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits. She was inducted into the Rock Hall in 1988, as part of The Supremes.
