If you’re a fan of the fights, then these are the fights for you and Las Vegas<\/a> is the place to be in mid January.<\/p>\n

Top contenders are vying for bragging rights and a whole lot more as they rock the arena in the city that never sleeps.<\/p>\n

MGM Grand Garden Arena, Nevada<\/a> will be the scene of a rematch the likes of which the fight fans have waited a long time to see. Three years to be precise, since the last bout, when in March of 2006, the top welterweights around fought each other for the number one position.<\/p>\n

Georges St-Pierre<\/strong> and BJ Penn<\/strong> dueled and St-Pierre earned what was called a razors edge split decision, then going on to win the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight title. Penn, who dropped to the lightweight division of the competition, went on to win the 155-pound title.<\/p>\n

Well they are at it again and this time, there’s a lot more at stake than just the bragging rights.<\/p>\n

From the looks of things, BJ Penn will become the first fighter in history to have two UFC championships at the same time, but you know, looks can be deceiving.<\/p>\n
