Cleveland Indians VS. Toronto Blue Jays

17th August 2015 | Category: Sports

As a wild-card competitor within the last two years, the Cleveland Indians are in danger of plummeting their season before the end of April. They are now currently holding the second-worst record within the majors, ahead of only Milwaukee, as they head into Wednesday’s game they have had four straight loses. It does not help that they are sharing a division with the two hottest teams in the league, the Kansas City Royals and the Detroit Tigers.
Looking on the other side of the coin, Michael Brantley an outfielder for the Cleveland Indians finished third in AL MVP voting last season.  Brantley has kept up his remarkable pace. He leads the Cleveland Indians with a remarkable .333 batting average, although he is still on the search for his first home run. Where there batting average as a team is just 234.

Using baseball’s superior metrics, the Cleveland Indians is the most horrible defensive team within the majors. Together they have already compiled a defensive runs saved mark of minus-17. Where the Toronto Blue Jays, have ranked fifth in the league at a plus-8, by comparison,
A former Yankee, Nick Swisher, who signed with the Cleveland Indians before the 2013 season, could possibly make his first entrance in the game against the Blue Jays. This 34-year-old first baseman as well as an outfielder has been rehabilitating since last summer’s due to his double knee surgery and this season has played games with the Indians’ Triple-A affiliate in Columbus. His batting average has been pretty good within the last three games he has played, seven hits in his last three games.
