Mayweather -VS- Pacquiao at MGM Grand in Las Vegas

Fight week has officially started for the Mayweather -vs- Pacquiao fight, scheduled for May 2, 2015, being the richest competition in the history of boxing. Disagreements between both sides have held this fight off for several years. Negotiations that continued to fail, started back in 2009.
The Boxers
Floyd Mayweather, 38 years old, 11 time champion of the wold and is undefeated. His record stands at 47-0, with 26 knockouts. His opponent Manny Pacquiao has a  record of 57-5-2, 38 of them being knockouts, is from the Philippines. In addition to boxing, Pacquiao is also a Philippine Congressman. Forbes ranked Mayweather as being the highest paid in the world of athletes last year at $105 million.
What is on The Line
The most important thing on the line with this bout, who will be seen in this era being the greatest boxer. Mayweather’s WBA super welterweight and WBC welterweight titles are both at stake. WBO welterweight crown belonging to Pacquiao is also at stake.
The split for the fight is 60-40 with Mayweather receiving the lion’s share. The fight is estimated to gross approximately $400 million. In addition, the winner will walk away with a WBC belt newly created. Value of the belt is at $1 million, with looking identical as the current belt, except instead of the gold plating in the center there are thousands of emeralds in their place.
Times of Importance
Las Vegas MGM Grand, will welcome the arrival of Mayweather on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Pacquiao will not stay at MGM Grand, instead he will settle into his usual residence in Las Vegas, the Mandalay Bay. A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m., where the two boxers will meet. Friday at 3 p.m. Is the time set for weigh-in. HBO and Showtime PPV will air the telecast, starting Saturday at 9 p.m. The main event is not expected to begin until 11 p.m.
