Las Vegas Beer and Barrel Project Coming to Mandalay Resort and Casino

The Las Vegas Beer and Barrel project is going on Aug 28th-30th. This weekend long event will be a chance for those who enjoy good brewed beer and want to learn some more details about the industry they can relax with likeminded people and enjoy the festivities. The event starts Friday evening at the Mandalay Resort and Casino with its annual VIP Pop up Pub Experience. There will be 4 seminars throughout the weekend to go along with the big Beer and Barrel festival that starts Saturday night at 7pm.

Seminars and Events

Saturday will be the day for seminars that consist of lecture from some of the beer industries top movers and shakers. Seminar 1 is called Beer Got Your Tongue where they will go into detail about the history and uses of beer with food. Differentiating taste from flavor and the brewing process of beers and the 4 main ingredients will all be discussed along with the basic Principles of Pairing. Education and fun wrapped in one event. This will begin at 1:00pm. Aug 28th.

Seminar 2 will be a panel discussion on Sour Beers this will be a long discussion on the historical background of sour and wild beers and the importance of yeast and other microflora that is used to create sour beers. Panelist include Jonathan Buford of Arizona Brewing Company and many more.

Seminar 3 will be a simple conversation on the history and progress of the brewing industry with top executives and local brewing savants to head the discussion. This begins at 4:00pm.

The final seminars The Last Gaff: Misconceptions of the Beer Cocktail and Experiencing American Whiskey will lead into the main event at the Beer and Barrel festival. You will have the opportunity to walk around and enjoy different styles of beer that comes from all over the country. The festival will take place at Mandalay Bay Beach and it will be a large celebration of great brews coupled with a cuisine prepared by MGM Resorts top chefs. The weekend ends with a Sunday beer for brunch gathering that showcases a luscious 3 course meal paired with complementing beer.
