After releasing three songs anonymously on YouTube under the name “The Weeknd”, Abel Tesfaye starting rising to fame. The twenty five year old Ontario, Canada native is starting his The Madness Tour this fall with special guest Banks Halsey the first half of his tour and special guest Travis Scott will accompany him during the last half of his forty nine day tour.
Abel Tesfaye adopted the name The Weeknd because at the young age of seventeen him and a friend dropped out of school, they just left one weekend and never came back.  His song Devil May Cry was featured on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack in 2014. Later he collaborated with popular artist Ariana Grande for the song Love Me Harder, which later on peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 list. Another one of his songs include the hit Earned It, which was released as a Fifty Shades of Grey single. His first digital release from the album Chapter III was The Hills, a song that hit the twentieth spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and later peaked at the fourth spot. However, he is most known for his hit single Can’t Feel My Face, which he performed at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2015 and also is his first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 that debuted at spot twenty four the day that it was released on June 8th, 2015.
Although The Weeknd’s The Madness Tour kicks off in the singer’s home country of Canada – in Toronto – on November 3rd, 2015, you can catch him in the United States starting on November 6th, 2015 in Chicago, Illinois at the United Center and visits fourteen different venues across the United States in popular cities, with trips back to Canada mixed in. The Madness Tour runs through December 19th, 2015 wrapping things up in Miami, Florida at the American Airlines Arena.
