Michael Buble International Tour Underway

30th July 2010 | Category: Concerts

Michael Buble is currently on tour supporting his latest album. All you U.S. fans that wish to see him will have three dates to do so. He will make stops in Las Vegas, San Diego and Sacramento. The rest of his dates are international ones. So far, the crooner has been getting good reviews while in concert. Critics have noted his smooth voice and entertaining banter.

One critic who recently visited his show in Houston, mentioned that Buble spoke nearly as much as he sang, frequently chatting up the sell-out crowd at the Toyota Center. He talked a lot about his beautiful fiancé, introduced his band and spoke about local hotspots. This critique of Buble’s show has been pretty consistent. He gives a great show while also being extremely engaging, funny and witty.

Canadians have been given a special treat. They are the lone group given the privilege of purchasing a Michael Buble app for their iPhone. It is only available for citizens of that country and is being released in conjunction with his Canadian tour. Warner Music put the app together and it includes all things Michael Buble. Those who decide to purchase it will get some of Buble’s music, access to a store that sales Buble merchandise as well as a forum, plus much more. There is also a television feature included of a short documentary of recorded footage of the development of Crazy Love.

Remember, if you want to see Michael Buble and you live in the United States, you will have to do so on 1 of 3 dates, August 24th, 27th and 28th in Sacramento, San Diego and Las Vegas respectively. Buble still has lots of dates left internationally, especially in England. If you live in this part of the world and are a Michael Buble fan, you may want to catch a show.

Roger Waters and David Gilmour Reconcile For “Wall” Tour

19th July 2010 | Category: Concerts

Roger Waters of Pink Floyd and David Gilmour have agreed to unite for one stop on Water’s tour. This reunion couldn’t come soon enough for each musician’s fans and has been far too long in the making for many. The two men played with the idea of performing with each other after playing a brief set at the Hoping Foundation in Oxfordshire, England.   Floyd and Gilmour plan to treat their fans to “Comfortably Numb” sometime during Water’s tour.   Roger Waters explained via Facebook why the two men finally agreed to reunite and perform together again.

According to Waters, Gilmore, after performing “Summertime” by George Gershwin, asked Waters via email if he would like to collaborate on a cheeky version of the song, “To Know Him Is To Love Him,” a Teddy Bears tune.

Waters initially turned him down, claiming that Gilmore’s outstanding vocal ability would make it easy for him to contribute to the tune while it would be more difficult for Waters to do the song justice. Waters stated, “knowing that David, with his superior vocal skills, could sing either part standing on his head, whilst I would have to search for a different key and then struggle through hours and hours of routining a performance that lay way outside my vocal comfort zone.”

Gilmour, however, would not give up. Not easily deterred, he instead, presented a proposition to Waters. If Waters would sing the song “To Know Him Is To Love Him’ for the Hoping Foundation with him, Gilmore would sing “Comfortably Numb”  during his Wall tour.  Waters agreed and the rest as they say is history.

Is Justin Bieber Coming To A City Near You?

15th July 2010 | Category: Concerts

Whenever Justin Bieber arrives on the scene, screams of adoration and out-of-this-world exhilaration aren’t too far behind and not just from pre-teen and teenage girls. It seems that members of the fairer sex in every age group have developed a bit of Biebermania.  Life hasn’t always been this crazy for Justin Bieber. At one time, he was a pretty normal pre-teen living at home with his mother in Stratford, Ontario. A smooth, polished voice and a well-known social networking website, Youtube (you may have heard of it) changed all of that. He went from being an unknown to one of the world’s biggest pop stars.

“There are other artists who have platforms and then get to the musical space,” Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) president/COO Steve Bartels says. “Yes, Justin is a phenom, but it’s really backed up. He’s got that viral cachet right now, but what he stands for is music. We’re keeping our fingers crossed, but we think we have something here that has incredible longevity.”

Justin Beiber’s first album, “My World” has been a huge success, especially considering the epidemic of weak record sales that have hit the industry, courtesy of, in part, illegal downloading and file sharing. “My World” reached number 6 on the Billboard 200 charts and sold 137,000 copies its first week out. It has since gone Platinum (over 1 million albums sold). His individual tracks have sold more then 3 times that figure.

Insanely popular, listeners warmed up to Bieber immediately, even before his first record dropped. He holds the distinction of being the first artist ever to have four singles reach the Top 40 prior to them releasing their first album.

To satisfy his fans, Bieber is hitting the road, performing live in concert, all over the United States. Interested in attending? Check here for dates and locations: Justin Bieber Concert Tickets
