Born in Knoxville Tennesee, the heart of country music, what else could Kenny Chesney be but a country star when he grew up? From the time he was in college Kenny played country music at local bars such as Chuckys Trading post, a small time Mexican eatery.
Kenny recorded the first album in Virginia back in 1989 and made just a thousand copies of it to sell at his gigs. He had to use the money from that to buy himself a new guitar.
The rest, as they say is history. Less than three years later, Kenny Chesney signed on with BMI and Opryland music and began to do what he’d always dreamed he could do.
Since 1993 Kenny has recorded somewhere around thirteen country music albums and of those, eleven of them have gone gold, as they say, whjile a couple went a bit higher.
Kenny is one of the most popular country music artists touring today and has sold out at nearly every place he’s played. His music seems to reach out to multiple generations, touching everyone who hears it.
Kenny Chesney holds the distinction of having the road trip that grossed the highest amount in country singers for 2007 and last year in 2008, he saw his fourth Entertainer of the Year award come his way.
Kenny Chesney is appearing now in venues all across the U.S. but as we said, they sell out very quickly. Get your tickets today to see Kenny Chesney in concert, while there are still some available.
Hailing from California, anyone who listens to pop music knows the name. Blink-182 is and has been “the” American rock band to listen to when you’re talking punk pop.
Getting together back in 92 they were at that time simply called Blink. Founding members included Mark Hoppus on vocals and bass, Tom Delonge on vocals and guitar, and Scott Raynor on drums.
1998 saw some changes to the band when, part way into a tour of the United States Raynor was replaced by Travis Barker but the band played on.
It was not until 2005, when DeLonge left the group that the moved into a hiatus that was predicted to be permanent, but which the group called indefinite.
DeLonge went out on his own to form Angels and Airwaves, while Barker and Hoppus continued to play together in plus 44.
February of last year saw the band, Blink 182 making an announcement that they were in fact going to continue as a band. The news came as a complete shock to their fans who had in fact debated whether they would ever be back and was a simple statement on their web site.
The only thing the site offered was this statement, “To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album,”
So we’ll give you the same news. Blink 182 is back. We mean REALLY back. Blink 182 is back as big and as great as they ever were. They have an amazing show. Get ready to rock as Blink 182 offers you the kind of music that you’ve been missing. Get your tickets today to see Blink 182 in concert.
