Cirque du Soleil - O is an amazing performance of talented individuals that provide ticket holders with a theatrical romance, surrealism, and wonderful show through a cast of synchronized swimmers, divers, and excellent acrobats, that perform in, on, and above water. The show has been in permanent residence at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States since October 1998. Cirque du Soleil - O performs twice each night except for Monday and Tuesday at 7:30pm and 10:00pm.
Cirque du Soleil was born in 1982 in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec. A young group of street performers mixed with the crowd juggling, eating fire, and walking on stilts. The performers came up with the idea to organize an entertainers festival, Fête Foraine de Baie-Saint-Paul, which became the Cirque du Soleil.
The show offers talented individuals performing such featured acts as Synchronized Swimming, Duo Trapeze, Adagio, Aerial Cradle/Parallel bars, Fire, Russian Swings, Suspended frame, High Dive, Washington Trapeze, Contortion, and Aerial Hoops. The director is Franco Dragone, composer is Benoit Jutras, and Choreographer is Debra Brown, to name a few of the talents behind the scenes. During the 2010 season, Cirque du Soleil - O tickets can be purchased online for most performances and days except for Monday and Tuesday.
